Curtis Door Systems Inc. has been designing, manufacturing and commissioning door systems for trains since, 1999. Previously, our organization was known as SMC Transit International (1987–1999). Our team of experienced and innovative engineers specialize in the development of door systems for the transit industry. Using latest technology and innovation  we can create door systems that are unique in design and operation. Using this technology we can also maintain door systems, acquired by our company, dating back to 1987. We are dedicated to supporting our customers from initial concept design through the service life of each door system.

New Curtis Door Systems Facility

Curtis Door Systems officially announced the acquisition for a new manufacturing facility in Plattsburgh, New York. This new facility was required as continuous growth and expansion has enabled Curtis to continue to reach its ever growing potential.

Our new facility is located not more than 5 minutes for our existing location although is more than 64,000 sq ft and enables Curtis Door Systems not only to expand our production capacity but enables us the space for even further expansion.

We are planning to relocate to our new building by the fall of 2007 and are very pleased and excited about the new opportunities and visitors to our new facility.
