Curtis Door Systems Inc. has been designing, manufacturing and commissioning door systems for trains since, 1999. Previously, our organization was known as SMC Transit International (1987–1999). Our team of experienced and innovative engineers specialize in the development of door systems for the transit industry. Using the latest technology and innovation we can create door systems that are unique in design and operation. Using this technology we can also maintain door systems, acquired by our company, dating back to 1987. We are dedicated to supporting our customers from initial concept design through the service life of each door system.

CNIM France and Curtis Door Systems are pleased to announce that the 2 companies have entered on February 13, 2003 in Montréal into a new cooperation agreement under the following terms:

  • CNIM Canada Inc., a subsidiary of CNIM France, acquired a minority share of the common stock of Curtis Door Systems Inc. of Plattsburgh, NY, Curtis Canada Inc. and Curtis Door Systems (UK) Ltd;
  • A new CNIM subsidiary has been created in Montreal, CNIM Platform Door Systems, with a minority share participation of Curtis Door Systems, allowing the common sharing of each partner’s expertise in order to supply complete Platform Door Systems (design, manufacturing, installation and maintenance) to the Transit Industry, directly or throughout CNIM Group world wide network.
